Miyamoto confirms – New Nintendo hardware

Gaming legend Shigeru Miyamoto dropped a few brief details about upcoming Nintendo products during a presentation at the 13th Annual Japan Media Arts Festival on Saturday.

The bulk of the presentation was about his history in game design, but he did quickly mention that Nintendo is in fact developing new hardware and they he is working on a new MotionPlus game for the Wii, besides the previously reported upcoming Zelda title.

At long last, MTV are bringing the complete Daria experience to DVD this May with a box set that consists of all five seasons (including pilot), both movies and a portion of exclusive extras.

Jnes is a NES emulator for win32 platforms that uses DirectX for it’s hardware interface. It’s emulation capabilities include graphics, sound, input devices, and emulating quite a few memory mapping boards found in most USA games and a few popular japanese ones. Jnes boasts a fairly intuitive user interface that makes playing NES a little more enjoyable. One of the coolest features is the included database of Pro-Action-Replay and Game Genie cheats.

Halo Legends – US Premiere, February 10th

Halo Legends, the upcoming direct-to-video animated anthology film from Warner Home Video and Microsoft’s 343 Industries, will get its premiere at the AMC Metreon in San Francisco, CA, on February 10, 2010, courtesy of IGN. Halo development director Frank O’Connor will be available after the screening for a Q&A session with attendees of the screening. A limited number of tickets are available for fans, who can e-mail at halolegends@ign.com for availability.

Warner Home Video will distribute Halo Legends on February 16, 2010 as a Special Edition 2-disc version on DVD and Blu-Ray™ as well as On Demand and Digital Download.
